Certification
ISO Standards
We apply the ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 standards, which define how greenhouse gas emissions are measured, monitored, and reported. These standards provide the framework that ensures accuracy and consistency in corporate carbon accounting, and they are widely recognized by regulators and auditors worldwide.
GHG Protocol
The Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol is the most widely used global standard for emissions accounting. Our team has applied this methodology for more than 15 years, across over 100 projects. By integrating the GHG Protocol into our software, Avoides ensures that avoided emissions are calculated using a framework trusted by governments, investors, and companies globally.
Our Emission Factor Database
Beyond DEFRA, we possess a library of more than 100,000 emission factors sourced from international databases and sector-specific references. This data allows us to select the most accurate factor for each individual case.
European Commission – ECESP
We are an active member of the European Commission’s European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP), where we are recognized for our innovative approach to the CO2 industry. This affiliation reinforces our alignment with European climate objectives and policies.
EcoInvent
The ecoinvent database, developed in Switzerland, is the most comprehensive global source for Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data, covering sectors such as energy, transport, agriculture, and materials. At Avoides, we rely on ecoinvent to provide scientifically validated emission factors and background datasets for our calculations. This ensures that our clients’ avoided emissions are measured against internationally recognized benchmarks, with results that are fully transparent and comparable across markets.
